Taking a Closer Look at STEM Careers this Engineers Week

Later this month (the week of February 19th) is Engineers Week, a national celebration of careers in the engineering sector. It also serves as the centerpiece of an important discussion of the engineering field and the growing need for engineers in the United States.

In preparation for this important event, Click2Science is hosting a webinar on STEM (science-technology-engineering-math) careers and current student perceptions of the STEM jobs that may be available to them in the future. The webinar will feature Dr. Michael Conn, The Student Research Foundation’s Senior Vice President of Research. Dr. Conn will discuss recent findings such as this report on STEM careers.

The event will be on Wednesday, February 8th at 2:00 pm ET. Registration is now available here.

Whether one is a STEM educator, guidance counselor, parent, community leader, or anyone interested in the STEM career pathways open to today’s high school students, this is a valuable discussion.
