#TeachersInspire, so #ThankAPrincipal
We all know that teachers inspire. They help students see what is possible, each beyond their potential, and achieve beyond their expectations. It is why research study after research study shows that an effective teacher is the single-most important factor in student success.
But we often overlook the fact that those exemplary teachers need terrific principals and education leaders supporting them. The same research that shows the value of a great teacher also demonstrates the impact a good principal has on student achievement.
This month is National Principals Month. As the National Association of Elementary School Principals, National Association of Secondary School Principals, and American Federation of School Administrators celebrate the hard work of our nation’s principals and school leaders, we should all take a moment to thank those principals that have having such demonstrable impact on their students, their schools, and their community.
On behalf of the entire Educational Research Center of America, we would like to thank all of our principals. Thank you for your hard work. Thank you for your commitment to our kids. Thank you for helping students explore the career pathways most relevant to their interests, education, and passions.
Thank you, principals!
