$25,000 in ERCA Community Contribution Scholarships

ERCA is proud to announce the recipients of its 2002 - 2003 Community Contribution Scholarships. ERCA scholarships are awarded to students who have made a difference in their communities. The winners created and carried out volunteer projects that helped to bring their community together, making their school or neighborhood safer, more welcoming places. ERCA invites you to read more about these Community Contribution Scholarship awardees whose leadership and depth of commitment has already made an impact on their world. The following 25 students have been chosen as the 2002-2003 School Year Winners. Each recipient will receive a grant of $1000 to use for college-related expenses.

Sana Ahmed from Townsend Harris High School, Flushing, New York

Attending Adelphi University in Garden City, New York.



Lacie J. Barnes from Springfield Local High School, New Middletown, Ohio

Attending Elon University in Elon, North Carolina.



Rebecca Bernstein from Ramsey High School, Ramsey, New Jersey

Rebecca will attend college in 2004.



Janeen Daniels from Stoughton High School, Stoughton, Massachusetts

Attending Spelmen College in Atlanta, Georgia.



Matthew Alan Hawks from High Point Central High School, High Point, North Carolina

Attending North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina.
