Stephanie Catherine Krol, Robert E. Lee HS, Class of 2007, Midland, TX

Started an organization called Pennies for Paws to raise money for animal shelters, and helped save the Lonestar SPCA, which was on the verge of bankruptcy.



Christina Kwong, Desert Vista HS, Class of 2004, Phoenix, AZ

Founded and presides over an immigrant tutoring/cultural center which assists teenage immigrants to assimilate into American culture and helps the community understand their plight.



Laura Majeski, Ashland HS, Class of 2004, Ashland, OR

Helped raise - and then assembled and distributed - $4000 in back packs, clothes, and supplies to disadvantaged local grade school students through her project, Pack it Back.



Rajiv Matthew Mallipudi, Princeton Day School, Class of 2005, Lawrenceville, NJ

Began his volunteering career at a hockey goalie clinic, then moved on to setting up a tutoring service and raising funds for blood testing of potential bone marrow donors.



Riane E. McWain, Atholton HS, Class of 2004, Laurel, MD

By founding an American Red Cross Club at her school, is raising awareness in the U.S. about the problems faced by third world countries and collecting school supplies for countries in Africa.
